Palm View, Housed in two separate buildings set slightly back in the gardens.They all feature sitting areas and private furnished terraces overlooking either the pool or the sands. Approximately 450 square feet. Bedding: 1 king bed. Accommodation amenities include: bathtub (deep soaking), shower (separate) and rollaway bed (on request). Beachfront, These cottages are housed in 10 separate buildings on the beach, all with private terraces and direct ocean views. Approximately 320 square feet. View: Ocean. Shower Bathrooms include shower only. Suite, (formerly known as Plantation Suite) these rooms are housed in a two-story building set slightly back in the gardens. Features include two queen size sleigh beds, a small sitting area, a double shower and a covered furnished terrace or balcony. Approximately 560 square feet. Bedding: 2 queen beds. Island Loft, Three of the stilted island lofts are individual wooden cottages with private terraces and ocean views. Two are housed in a shared wooden building on the beach and feature deep soaking tubs and separate showers. Approximately 514 square feet. Bedding: 1 king bed or 2 queen beds. View: Ocean. Two Bedroom Villa, This luxurious villa offers a living room, dining area, full kitchen, master bedroom with king bed and ensuite bathroom with shower. A second bedroom with king bed and it's own bathroom. Terraces overlooking the ocean. The kitchen is lightly stocked. All villas also include splash pools. Bedding: 2 king beds. View: Ocean. Beachfront Bar, Most guests meet for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres in this intimate bar. Royal Palm Restaurant, This elegant restaurant sits right on the white sands, every meal accompanied by ocean views and sea breezes. Features Creole and Euro-Caribbean cuisine. Caribbean barbeque every Friday night. Cuisine: Caribbean, Creole, European. Sunset Grill, This is the more informal beachfront restaurant. Open to visiting yachtsmen, it offers an extensive lunch and dinner menu, its tables are either inside or right on the sands. Serving grill-type fare. Miscellaneous Information (back to top)
General • Please advise clients of the fact that guest rooms do not have televisions or telephones. Television viewing is available in a designated public areas only. • Worldwide telephone and fax facilities are available. Air Transfers/Luggage - Important • The luggage allowance is 44 pounds per person and due to the limitations of inter-island flights, there is a possibility that a guest's luggage may not arrive at Palm Island at the same time the guest arrives. Therefore, we require all Tour Operators to notify all guests booked to Palm Island to pack a carry-on bag with a change of clothes and necessary toiletries in the event their luggage does not arrive at Palm Island until the following day. Dress Code • Please advise clients of Palm Island the resort's dress code. In the restaurants, shoes are worn and bathing suits covered. After 6:30pm, men wear shirts with collars and short or long sleeves (no t-shirts or tank tops), slacks. Tailored Bermuda-length shorts are allowed for men in summer season; and women wear dresses, skirts, slacks, culottes or tailored Bermuda- length shorts (no "short shorts" or cutoffs). No jeans for men or women in the evenings. Destination Information - Important • Please advise all clients traveling to Barbados: That the wearing of camouflage or military apparel is illegal, and clothing will be confiscated and persons will be charged accordingly. Passport Requirements • US Citizens traveling to and from the Caribbean require a valid passport to regain entry into the United States. Free Roundtrip Air Transfer 2008-2009 On stays of 7 nights or longer, Elite will pay guest air transportation from Barbados on scheduled air with Grenadines Airways (GAL). The ticket will be collected upon arrival in Barbados. Palm Island will book the Barbados flight from the Florida office International arrival and departure details must be noted on original reservation request along with the final manifest lists. Palm Island will book the best connecting flights from BGI to international services. For stays of less than 7 nights, guests must pay for the air transfer. The Florida office can confirm air reservations, and will require the client's credit card at confirmation if staying less than 7 nights. A Palm Island representative will meet and assist guests upon arrival into Barbados. Guests will NOT clear customs in Barbados, but will proceed to the inter-island flight desk. All luggage will be collected and transferred to the Union Island flight. Guests will clear customs on Union Island flight and proceed to the boat jetty for the transfer to Palm Island (transfer is included). Palm Island will advise all guests of their departure time from Palm Island on the homeward journey and will be transferred to the airport by Palm Island personnel. NOTE: In order for same day transfers to Union Island, guests must arrive in Barbados no later than 4:00pm. • Guests arriving later than 4:00pm will have to stay overnight in Barbados at guest's expense. Charges for flights may apply to missed connections. Palm Island can not be held accountable for the late arrival of incoming international services. Amendments may incur additional charges. Cancellation will incur full costs. |
